EAST AMHERST, N.Y. — A vehicle went into the Pet Supplies Plus store at 9630 Transit Road in East Amherst, said Swormville Fire Chief Scott Will.

According to Amherst Police, the 76-year-old driver said she and an unknown with her steering, so she applied the brake. Instead, the car went forward and into the building.

No people or animals were hurt. The driver of the vehicle did complain of some pain and was treated at the scene, but refused to be transferred to a hospital, police say.

Chief Will said the damage to the building is mostly cosmetic and there is no major structural damage.
