MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (WCSC) — The Mount Pleasant Police Department is investigating a shooting that sent one person to the hospital with a gunshot wound to the arm.

Police responded around 11:45 p.m. Monday to Franklin Tower Drive for reports of that shooting.

Officers provided aid to the victim and secured the scene. The victim was taken to the hospital and later released after receiving treatment for their arm.

Detectives and crime scene investigators also responded to the scene, determining that the victim’s home was hit several times by gunfire, which police believe came from multiple suspects, at which point a single round struck the victim.

Investigators are still working to identify the people involved.
