KNOXVILLE, Tenn — Knox County Commissioner Kim Frazier has officially announced she's running for county mayor in 2026.
She first filed the paperwork to run in September.
Frazier emphasized in her announcement that she wants to put "communities first."
“It has been an incredible privilege to serve all of Knox County as an At-Large Commissioner,” Frazier said. “I’m running for Mayor to continue that service — to continue to be a voice for the hard-working people of our county, to lead with efficiency, invest where it matters most, and preserve what makes our county so special.”
Larsen Jay and Betsy Henderson are also running. Jay is a Republican county commissioner, and Henderson is a Republican school board member.
