Fort Erie Meteors goaltender Finn Moffett is the Greater Ontario Hockey League Eastern Conference performer of the week after allowing one goal and compiling a .970 save percentage over two games.
The 18-year-old from St. Catharines made 12 saves for his second shutout of the season — and the fifth of his junior-B career — in a 4-0 road win over the Ayr Centennials on Thursday. Two nights later, Moffett backstopped the Meteors to their sixth win in a row, making 20 saves in a 5-1 defeat of the visiting Port Colborne Sailors.
A 10th-round pick of the Niagara IceDogs in the 2023 Ontario Hockey League draft, with the 183rd selection, Moffett entered the week leading all netminders in the GOHL with a 1.99 goals-against average.
His 12 wins are second only to Brandon Balcar of the Cambridge
