COLUMBIA, S.C. — South Carolina Department of Public Health (DPH) has confirmed 27 new measles cases in the Upstate this week, concentrated in Spartanburg County. These latest cases bring the total number in the Upstate outbreak to 111, and 114 total cases reported throughout South Carolina in 2025.

Of the new cases:

16 resulted from the previously reported exposure at the Way of Truth Church in Inman, in Spartanburg County

8 case are household members of known cases

one resulted from a previously reported school exposure

one resulted from public exposure in a health care setting

one source of exposure is unknown

There are currently 254 people in quarantine and 16 in isolation.
