IN A bid to facilitate work on a new water channel, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) is set to impose 24-hour water cut across three wards of Mumbai between December 12 and December 13. Water supply will be suspended in K/East ward (eastern side of Andheri, Jogeshwari, Vile Parle), H/East ward (eastern side of Santacruz, Bandra including BKC) and G/North ward (Dadar, Mahim).

According to officials, largescale water channel connectivity work is slated to be undertaken in three wards of the city. Come December 12, work of connecting 1,800 mm-diameter channel from Tansa, 1,200 mm-diameter channel and 2,400 mm-diameter channel from Vaitarna and 1,500 mm-diameter channel in G/North will be taken up by the civic body.
