A new poll of younger Democratic voters shows a shock frontrunner for the party’s 2028 presidential nomination, The Hill reported.
The Yale Youth poll shows Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) with a double-digit lead over former Vice President Kamala Harris and California Gov. Gavin Newsom among voters under the age of 35.
The poll showed that 30% of Dems between the ages of 18 and 22 would back Ocasio-Cortez in the party presidential primary, while 20% would support Harris and 12% would go for Newsom.
Among Democrats ages 23 to 29, a stunning 35% would support Ocasio-Cortez, while 15% would vote for Harris and 14% would back Newsom.
The survey said that 29% of Democrats between the ages of 30 and 34 would back AOC, 15% would vote for Newsom and 14% would support Harris.
