The 2025-26 wrestling season is just getting underway, and there’s a number of storylines to keep an eye out for this year.

Here are 10 things to watch this winter in Oregon’s boys wrestling scene:

Who is winning the 6A team title?

Of course, Newberg opens the season as the favorite in Class 6A. The Tigers have won four of the last five team titles and return multiple state champions in Kiah Worthington (106 pounds) and Sawyer Keinonen (126).

But other teams will surely be in the mix at Veteran’s Memorial Coliseum, including West Linn, Roseburg and Forest Grove.
