CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - The city of Cleveland and the Browns are moving to dismiss three lawsuits regarding Huntington Bank Field.
This was a term of the city’s multi-million dollar agreement with the Browns announced back in October.
The path cleared to drop the lawsuits on Dec. 1 when Cleveland City Council approved the deal with a 13-2 vote.
The city’s lawyers filed Tuesday to dismiss two cases, one against the Browns and other against the Ohio Department of Transportation.
Attorneys representing the Browns have dismissed their federal case against Cleveland.
According to the deal, both parties are to voluntarily dismiss all lawsuits with prejudice.
The deal allows the Cleveland Browns to leave downtown and build a new domed stadium in Brook Park.
