ESPARTO, Calif. —

The company that ran a fireworks facility at the site of a massive explosion on July 1 in Esparto is now facing more than $200,000 in fines from the state's safety division.

Cal/OSHA issued 15 citations and fines for violations of the state safety regulations, including serious regulatory violations, three of which the agency tells KCRA 3 Investigates were directly related to the deadly incident. The citations were sent on Dec. 1.
