LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Police are searching for the person who fired more than a dozen rounds into a home on Magoffin Street early Tuesday morning.

People were inside the home at the time of the shooting, police said.

Ring camera captures shooting

Around 4:45 a.m., Alyani Thompson’s Ring camera captured footage of a masked person firing multiple rounds from an AR-style rifle into her window.

“I was getting Ring camera alerts and something told me to look at my camera and that’s when I seen multiple police officers here,” Thompson said.

Thompson’s mother was inside the home at the time and woke up to the sound of gunfire.

“She said she then rolled off the bed and got on the floor and wrapped herself in a blanket because she said the gunshots were nonstop,” Thompson said. “Just the t
