CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - The city of Cleveland has lowered Lake Avenue’s speed limit from 35 mph to 30 mph after completing a speed study and ODOT approval.

This comes after the city of Lakewood reduced the speed limit on its section of Lake Avenue.

Research shows that reducing the average speed by 1 mph can lead to a 5% decrease in crashes, according to the city of Cleveland.
