A two-storey home in rural West Lincoln has been left uninhabitable after fire broke out Monday night.
At 7:30 p.m., West Lincoln Fire was called to 6227 Elcho Rd., just west of Krick Road in Wellandport, an emailed response from the township’s communications unit said.
Firefighters from both township stations arrived to find flames shooting from the roof of the home.
The firefighting operation required equipment from three municipalities and included a substantial water shuttle. Firefighters used an aerial truck to get at the fire in the attic and roof.
They extinguished the fire and cleared the property by about 1 a.m.
There were no injuries reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
