FORSYTH, N.C. ( WBTV /News) - A student died after being stabbed at a high school in North Carolina, according to officials.

According to the sheriff’s office, at around 11:05 a.m. on Dec. 9, the school resource officer at North Forsyth High School issued an “all hands on deck” message.

When deputies arrived, they found that a fight had happened between two students, resulting in one student’s death.

While the sheriff’s office did not release details about how the student died or what led to the altercation, North Carolina Gov. Josh Stein confirmed the death was caused by a stabbing.
