The driver of a car that fatally struck a pedestrian in Niagara Falls last month has been charged.
At 8:20 a.m. Nov. 20, Niagara Regional Police were called to Thorold Stone Road and Carroll Avenue, across the street from Thorold Stone Mall.
Police said the pedestrian sustained life-threatening injuries and died in hospital.
On Tuesday, police said a collision reconstruction unit investigation has resulted in the driver, a 68-year-old Niagara Falls woman, being charged with careless driving causing death, an offence under the Highway Traffic Act.
