The defending 4A Conference state tournament champions put the state on notice during their home opener against Poston Butte on Tuesday night.
Playing in the school's dome for their first home outing, the Flagstaff Eagles girls basketball team took it to the Broncos for an 89-23 victory. The 89 points marked the highest point total for Flagstaff all season and the most the Eagles have scored since Feb. 4 of last year against the 4A Cortez Colts. It was the first time Flagstaff cracked 80 points at home since Jan. 4, 2024, against Mohave.
