There were no injuries — just a temporarily raised heartbeat — after a pink pickup truck slammed into a Welland wellness spa Tuesday morning.
The incident occurred at the corner of King and Division streets shortly after 9:30 a.m. when a Ford F250 crashed into the front entrance of Cenoté Wellness & Medical Spa at 46 King St.
Jane Hodgson, who operates Drapery Workroom, a window blind business next door, said she was inside her office when she heard the collision.
“It was very loud and it shocked me,” she said. “And I just ran out the front door.”
There was no one in the spa at the time and Hodgson said the 75-year-old driver, “a very lovely woman,” was not injured.
Theresa Duguay, who operates the spa, said she was notified of the collision as she was heading into the business.
