The Hunger Games star Josh Hutcherson opened up about the challenges he faced after starring in the dystopian franchise. The actor played Peeta Mellark, a District 12 tribute who competes in a government-run competition against Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) and 22 other teenagers. He returned for three more Hunger Games movies : Catching Fire , Mockingjay: Part 1 and Mockingjay: Part 2 .
Even though Hutcherson had already appeared in movies like Zathura: A Space Adventure , Bridge to Terabithia , Journey to the Center of the Earth and The Kids Are All Right , it was The Hunger Games that made Hutcherson a household name and a huge star.
However, that fame came at a cost, as the actor told Jesse Tyler Ferguson on the Dinner's on Me podcast.
