A human skull was found in some bushes next to Brooklyn’s famed Coney Island boardwalk, police said Wednesday.

The startling discovery was made by a man walking on Riegelmann Boardwalk near W. 32nd just before 6 p.m. Tuesday, cops said.

The city Medical Examiner’s office is helping the NYPD identify the person and determine, if possible, how they died. No additonal remains were found when investigators scoured the area.

City officials this week announced $1 billion has been secured to renovate the 3-mile-long boardwalk.
