A 20-year-old Bronx man is facing attempted murder and assault charges in the shooting of Jets cornerback Kris Boyd outside a Manhattan restaurant last month, prosecutors said Wednesday.
Frederick Green is accused of shooting Boyd outside of venue Sei Less on West 38th Street around 2 a.m. on Nov. 16. Boyd was taken to Bellevue Hospital in critical condition, police said. The bullet had passed through his groin and abdomen and left a fragment in his pulmonary artery, requiring him to undergo surgery, according to a criminal complaint.
Green, who is also charged with weapons possession in the case, was arraigned in Manhattan Criminal Court on Tuesday, a day after law enforcement officials say he turned himself in to authorities in Buffalo. Police officials said he had been hiding in his
