A Minneapolis woman was killed by a driver who struck her during snowy conditions on Tuesday near Mille Lacs Lake.

The Minnesota State Patrol says the collision was reported around 6:30 a.m. Wednesday at Hwy. 27 and 400th Street in Isle Township, southeast of Isle.

A Cadillac being driven by a 41-year-old Isle man was traveling north on Hwy. 27 when he struck the woman who was crossing the road.

The woman, identified as Danielle Boyd, of Minneapolis, died at the scene.

The investigation into the incident continues. Police say the road conditions were snowy and icy at the time of the collision.
