On Wednesday, Detroit Lions offensive line coach Hank Fraley offered a little more insight into the crazy week that included Frank Ragnow coming out of retirement only to go back into retirement upon failing his physical. The All-Pro center was revealed to have had a Grade 3 hamstring spain that would have prevented him from playing in 2025 anyways.
According to Fraley, Ragnow was training the entire time, and the injury occurred then.
“Unfortunately, he got a little nicked up in his training. He’s been training the whole time,” Fraley said. “[…] but unfortunately it didn’t go that route. I’m not disappointed at all, it’s just unfortunately he had that–what was it? A grade three or whatever it turned out to be.
