As a judge on the hit Food Network show “Chopped,” Maneet Chauhan has eaten plenty of quick, oddball meals whipped up by stressed out contests in 30 minutes or less. But on a recent trip to New Orleans over Thanksgiving, Chauhan had the chance to enjoy thoughtful, Southern meals as her family ate through some of the Crescent City’s best restaurants.
The Indian-American chef fawned over the New Orleans culinary scene in a video posted to social media Tuesday, saying she thought five days would be plenty to hit the best spots in the city.
“But we didn’t even scratch the surface,” Chauhan wrote on Instagram.
