The city of Reno is hosting a community meeting on the future of the Lear Theater at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 10, at the Reno-Sparks Chamber of Commerce, 4065 S. Virginia St.
After receiving an offer letter showing interest in the theater, the city council voted in September to hold a public discussion on the building’s next steps.
The two-hour meeting will review the theater’s condition and present options with estimated costs for the its future. Local historian Alicia Barber and city staff will lead the presentation.
