LOWER MANHATTAN, New York (WABC) -- More than a dozen alleged gang members have been arrested, and charged in a string of horrific shootings and assaults in Harlem and Upper Manhattan, one of which, prosecutors say, claimed the life of an innocent 16-year-old boy.
"There are 13 defendants, two adolescent offenders (AO) under our law," Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg said.
Dandre Murray and Zakaria Camara are two alleged members of a gang, who according to the Manhattan DA's office, were so intent with taking out rivals they would start shooting anytime and anyplace in Harlem.
"This alleged conduct is in a word, unacceptable. This brazen violence occurred in the middle of our streets, putting countless innocent bystanders at risk," Bragg said.
