In a career full of accolades, Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen is no stranger to winning awards. This week, he added to his proverbial trophy case, winning AFC Offensive Player of the Week honors for his performance in Buffalo’s 39-34 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 14.
Allen completed 22-of-28 passes for 251 yards and three touchdowns, two of which came on fourth-down plays, against the Bengals. His first touchdown pass was an absurd 11-yard strike to wide receiver Khalil Shakir. Facing fourth down and a 14-3 deficit, Allen extended the play, rolled to his right, and zipped a pass into triple coverage that nearly hit a Cincinnati linebacker in the helmet.
His second touchdown pass was less dramatic, as he hit tight end Dalton Kincaid on an angle route to pull the Bills
