ATLANTA — Atlanta Police are investigating after a person was shot and killed at an apartment complex in the city's Joyland neighborhood on Wednesday night.

Officers responded to the Manor III apartments in the southwest part of Atlanta and found a man who had suffered an apparent gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.

Atlanta Police said its officers went out to the complex just after 7:30 p.m. in reference to a person shot. When they got there, they found a 38-year-old man who had suffered a gunshot wound.
