DALLAS — Dallas is one step closer to having an H-E-B of its own, as the Dallas City Council overwhelmingly approved a zoning request at its Wednesday night meeting, paving the way for the store to become a reality.
H-E-B has a number of stores across the DFW metroplex, and more on the way , but no brick-and-mortar stores in Dallas itself. This would be the first one.
Council members approved the rezoning of Interstate 634 and Hillcrest Road to make way for the grocery store chain. The vote was 14-1. The planned store would be 127,000 square feet, not far from the Costco along Highway 75.
