PASCAGOULA , Miss. (WLOX) - Crews are putting finishing touches on a parking lot project along Krebs Avenue, adding striping, resealing and additional on-street and handicapped parking spaces ahead of Pascagoula’s Christmas parade.
The work is wrapping up just nine days before the parade, one of the city’s biggest holiday events. Local business owners said the timing will help draw more visitors downtown during the busy shopping season.
“It’s looking great. It’s going to be so nice when it’s all finished, and it’s going to make the whole downtown area just look so good,” said Blair Purdy, owner of Kitchen Sisters.
Business owners anticipate increased foot traffic
Nancy Roberts, owner of Antiques Treasures, said the street improvements will benefit the restaurants and shops along Krebs
