Cole County Emergency Medical Services announced this year's toy drive produced 67 boxes of new toys, filling seven ambulances.

Cole County EMS, in partnership with Jefferson City Toys for Tots and the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve, held its 2025 toy drive throughout the month of November to provide holiday presents to children and families across mid-Missouri.

Last year, the toys collected in the drive filled nine ambulances .

Cole County Presiding Commissioner Sam Bushman started the toy drive five years ago as a challenge to fill one ambulance with toys.

“This community keeps showing up in bigger and bigger ways,” Cole County EMS Chief Eric Hoy said in a news release. "Every toy represents a child who gets to wake up to something special on Christmas morning. Filling seven ambulances
