BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) - Tens of millions in flood funding is on its way to Vermont.

Governor Phil Scott announced that the state is getting federal money to aid in recovery from the July 2023 floods and to help build back stronger.

$50 million of the total $67 million was allocated today to cover 200 new housing units, infrastructure upgrades, and flood mitigation in historic downtowns.

We are not sure yet where the leftover $17 million will go. We’ll keep you updated when we learn more.
