WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - The City of Wichita’s goal of “functional zero homelessness” is getting a boost following Wednesday’s groundbreaking for a facility that will provide wraparound services for those looking to get off of the streets.
The groundbreaking for Park Landing, in the 1000 block of North Main Street, is a collaboration with the City of Wichita and the nonprofit, Second Light. The city’s goal of “functional zero homelessness” means that the number of people entering homelessness never exceeds the community’s ability to house them.
Once built, the Park Landing facility will offer something that not many cities have: Multiple services to help those in need of housing, all under one roof.
