With the festive season fast approaching, I find myself eagerly anticipating the array of Christmas food and drink. From pigs in blankets and roasties to cheese platters and mince pies, December is undoubtedly a month for indulgence .

When it comes to yuletide tipples, nothing quite ignites my Christmas spirit like an Irish Cream Liqueur. In my view, it's the perfect accompaniment to tree decorating and the inaugural viewing of Love Actually (because let's face it, there will be multiple screenings throughout December).

Many, including myself, might immediately associate this festive drink with Baileys , but I decided to broaden my horizons and compare the renowned beverage with two popular alternatives: Coole Swan and Aldi's Specially Selected Irish Cream .
