ST. CLAIR SHORES – Simply put, Macomb Dakota-Chippewa Valley United has been either hot or cold this season in terms of its performance out on the ice.
On Wednesday, Chippewa Valley United could have melted the ice away.
United came back twice from one-goal deficits and scored the final three games in shocking host St. Clair Shores Unified 4-2 in a Macomb Area Conference Red Division boys hockey game at the St. Claire Shores Civic Arena-Mark Wells Rink.
United (6-6-0, 1-1-0) trailed 1-0 in the first and 2-1 in the second period before clamping down on defense and earning the upset win over the Lakers. All of this was despite the fact that St. Clair Shores outshot CVU by a 65-28 margin but still found a way to net the four goals.
