LINCOLN— The Hillman Tigers girls’ basketball team kicked off their 2025-2026 season with a resounding 40-20 road victory against the Alcona Tigers on Friday.
The team’s strong defensive effort limited Alcona’s scoring, while a balanced offensive attack led to the decisive win.
The offense was led by Madelyn Oswald who scored a team-high 13 points. Maci Klein chipped in nine points, while Kendall Gruschke secured nine rebounds along with contributing six points.
The 1-0 Tigers will host its home opener on Friday against the Hale Eagles at 6 p.m.
