1$50K Powerball ticket sold in Silver Spring as jackpot climbs to $930 million

Silver Spring, MD – A Powerball player in Silver Spring came within one number of winning it all, walking away with a $50,000 prize from Monday night’s drawing as the jackpot surged to nearly $1 billion.

The winning ticket, sold at the Columbia Road Exxon at 12601 Old Columbia Pike in Montgomery County, matched four out of the five white balls plus the red Powerball. The winning numbers drawn on December 8 were 8, 32, 52, 56, 64, and Powerball 23.

Although the ticket missed the top prize by just one number, it secured a third-tier win worth $50,000. The identity of the winner has not yet been revealed.
