In a major administrative push for the border subdivision of Mendhar, the long-stalled Mini Secretariat project has been formally revived after more than ten years.
The Omar Abdullah led Government has sanctioned ₹5.06 crore to restart the project, originally approved in 2010 but left incomplete for over a decade.
Confirming the development, Cabinet Minister Javed Ahmed Rana congratulated the people of Mendhar, calling the revival a “much-needed and long-overdue step” toward strengthening local governance. He expressed gratitude to Chief Minister Omar Abdullah for clearing the fresh funds and ensuring the project’s resumption under the present administration.
