Proposing a heritage walk to honour the valour of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, the Maharashtra Government on Wednesday approved a greenfield route project, worth Rs 250.27 crore, that will link the Maratha king’s martyrdom site at Tulapur and his memorial at Vadu Budruk in Pune district.

During a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis , plans were finalised for constructing a road and a bridge over the Bhima River, which will provide direct access between the Tulapur martyrdom site and the Vadhu Budruk memorial.

District administration officials made a presentation of the Vadhu-Tulapur Development Plan to the state government on the occasion.
