Western North Carolina could have its first high school football state champion since Murphy in 2020-21 after Robbinsville, Murphy and Brevard all advanced to the North Carolina High School Athletic Association state championships.

Top-seeded Robbinsville will face No. 4 Wilson Prep for the 1A state title on Dec. 11 at 4 p.m. at Kenan Stadium in Chapel Hill.
