KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -Flurries and light snow showers in spots this morning, mainly the northern Plateau, southeast KY and the Smokies. Waking up around freezing in the Valley and in the 20s in higher elevations.

THURSDAY: Morning clouds and a few flurries will give way to sunshine in the afternoon. Highs will barely top 40 and lows will be in the upper 20s to low 30s. Overnight, there is a chance for another quick push of snow/rain showers.

FRIDAY: There may be a stray shower in the Valley or some snow showers near the KY/TN border with another front Friday morning. Highs will reach the 40s to near 50 by the afternoon. Lows will drop into 30s Friday night.
