HURON COUNTY, Ohio (WOIO) - The prosecution will continue calling witnesses Thursday in the trial for a Sandusky man accused of killing his ex-wife in 2001.

The jury trial for Paul Hicks began Tuesday in Huron County Court of Common Pleas.

In April 2025, Paul Hicks was indicted on three counts of murder and one count of kidnapping.

Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost said Regina Rowe Hicks, 25, went missing on Oct. 18, 2001 after leaving her boyfriend’s home to pick up her son.

Her body was found on Oct. 22, 2001 in her Camaro in a pond at Section Line Road 30 in Willard, said Yost.
