After rolling out e‑challans for traffic offences, the Sindh government has now decided to bring digitisation to the Sindh Food Authority (SFA) to improve transparency and service delivery. Sindh Provincial Minister for Food, Makhdoom Mehboob Zaman, says that online registration, a complaint management system, and a digital challaning system will be introduced.

Zaman met with PPP Women’s Wing President Mrs Faryal Talpur, where officials received a detailed briefing on plans to implement these electronic systems. It aims to modernise the authority and offer better and more transparent services to the public.

These changes are being considered in light of multiple violations of the Food Authority's code. SFA has previously sealed factories and eateries for using substandard and unhygienic
