Millions of AT&T customers have just days left to claim their share of a $177 million data breach settlement. Some customers can get up to $7,500.
The settlement covers two major data breaches that exposed personal information of more than 180 million current and former customers.
AT&T agreed to the settlement in March 2025 after hackers compromised customer data in separate incidents in 2019 and 2024.
The deadline to file claims is Dec. 18, following a court-approved extension of the original cutoff date.
AT&T breach details
The 2019 breach affected 73 million people, including 7.6 million current customers and 65.4 million former account holders.
Exposed information included Social Security numbers, birth dates and legal names. AT&T released details about this breach in March 202
