Premium Brands Holdings Corp . ( PBH-T ) announced last Thursday that it’s buying Stampede Culinary Partners Inc., a U.S.-based food company, for US$662.5 million in cash and shares.

CEO George Paleologou said the acquisition will support the growth of its cooked protein initiatives in the U.S., including in the foodservice channel, and enhance its production capabilities through the addition of sous-vide cooking capacity. Premium Brands
