RICHMOND, Va. (WWBT) - We have Friday and Sunday as First Alert Weather Days for light snow.

Here’s our snow map for Friday. We think this snow will be very light and only accumulation on grassy surfaces although there might be some slick spots on bridges and overpasses.

This clipper will bring a swath of light snow from Montana to Virginia. As of 8:05 a.m. Thursday, there aren’t any advisories for Central Virginia and the impacts will be so small, I wouldn’t be surprised if we don’t get one for Richmond.

DATA:

Here’s look at the European ensembles. They show strong support for a few tenths of an inch of snow. I expect this to melt when it hits roads and sidewalks.

Sunday’s snow chance looks similar, with only minimal impact expected.
