A nasty stomach bug is on the rise again in the U.S. as winter sets in, and key habits can keep you safe, according to health officials.
The top driver of foodborne illness nationwide, norovirus typically spreads in closed, crowded places like hospitals, schools and cruise ships, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and Mayo Clinic. The highly contagious virus peaks during winter months, and causes vomiting and diarrhea.
