Shannon Sharpe explained that he could relate to the “pressure cooker” Sherrone Moore is in after the Michigan coach was fired Wednesday for engaging in an inappropriate relationship with a staff member, and later detained for alleged assault .
During the latest installment of “NightCap” podcast, Sharpe — who settled a $50 million sexual assault lawsuit from a woman in July — was visibly emotional as he weighed in on Moore’s situation.
“Six months ago I went through something very similar, so I know what that storm is like and unless you’ve been in it,” Sharpe, who was taken off the air at ESPN after news of the lawsuit broke, said, “you don’t know what you would do until you’re in it, in that pressure cooker, in the eye of the storm.
