The first phase of the gram panchayat elections in Telangana on Thursday, 11 December, recorded an impressive voter turnout of 84.28 percent.

According to district-wise data compiled by the State Election Commission (SEC) through its Proforma-II reports, 45.15 lakh voters out of 53.52 lakh registered electors exercised their franchise across 31 districts where polling was held from 7 am to 1 pm.
