A service pistol, five live cartridges, and a magazine belonging to a Punjab Police Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) were reportedly stolen from the servant quarter of a Sector-21 residence. The Sector-19 police station has registered a case against an unknown person and initiated an investigation.
According to the complaint submitted by Jatinder Kumar, an ASI with the Punjab Police, he has been posted as a PSO to R K Sondhi, a retired sessions judge and now registrar of the Haryana Human Rights Commission, for the past 13–14 years. He resides in the servant quarter of Sondhi’s Sector-21 house.
Jatinder stated that on December 8, he had been issued a 9-mm service pistol, 30 cartridges and a magazine. As per the complaint, after returning from duty on the night of December 7 around 8 pm, he
