Scott Boras, Tarik Skubal's agent, gave his annual, pun-filled press conference Tuesday at the MLB Winter Meetings. The one substantive thing he said was there currently was no deadline to cut off extension talks with the Tigers.

"We've always been a listener," he told reporters. "That's always been our attitude. But that (a cutoff point) is up to Tarik as to how he wants to handle that. At this point, my instructions are to listen to anything they have to say."
